What our clients say

“
I was having trouble getting interviews with all of the applications I was putting out. YES updated my resume and let me know the strategy behind how employers find viable candidates through the words that you use in the resume. I was being more thorough in reaching out to people and asking for informational interviews after working with Michael. I thought the whole team was integral to my success.

Dir. Brand Management

“
A couple of months after I had my resume and cover letter completed by YES, I had two job offers from which I had a chance to choose one. Thanks to Katherine and all the supporting team at YES.
Fadi A. (Ph.D)

“
I contacted YES to rewrite my resume with a project manager focus, which would better reflect the work I was doing. My history had been finance focused, and I wanted my resume to be project management focused. The biggest thing YES did that helped me was to recognize some of my previous work that was pertinent to project management positions but not necessarily in an obvious way. I highly recommend YES.

Historical facts about New York City: The first native New Yorkers were the Lenape, an Algonquin people who hunted, fished, and farmed in the area between the Delaware and Hudson rivers. The Dutch West India Company sent some 30 families to live and work in a tiny settlement on “Nutten Island” (today’s Governors Island) that they called New Amsterdam. In 1626, the settlement’s governor general, Peter Minuit, purchased the much larger Manhattan Island from the natives for 60 guilders in trade goods such as tools, farming equipment, cloth and wampum (shell beads). Fewer than 300 people lived in New Amsterdam when the settlement moved to Manhattan. But it grew quickly, and in 1760 the city (now called New York City; population 18,000) surpassed Boston to become the second-largest city in the American colonies. Fifty years later, with a population 202,589, it became the largest city in the Western hemisphere. Today, more than 8 million people live in the city’s five boroughs.

It is the largest and most influential American metropolis, encompassing Manhattan and Staten islands, the western sections of Long Island, and a small portion of the New York state mainland to the north of Manhattan. New York City is in reality a collection of many neighborhoods scattered among the city’s five boroughs—Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island—each exhibiting its own lifestyle. Moving from one city neighborhood to the next may be like passing from one country to another. New York is the most populous and the most international city in the country.
Long a magnet for immigrants to the U.S., it is a center of world trade and finance, media, art, entertainment, and fashion. Because of its prominence and its central role in world commerce, the city was a target for acts of terrorism. In the September 11 attacks of 2001, hijackers intentionally flew airliners into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, destroying them and destroying or damaging several adjacent buildings and killing some 2,800 people.
In 2022, NYC had approximately 56.4 million visitors, which is vital since almost 10% of private sector jobs depend on tourism.
New York City has six top industries – Financial services, healthcare, professional and business services, retail trade, manufacturing and educational services.

Most recruiters spend minimum time looking at your resume before deciding if it makes it to the interview pile. You have little to no margin for error in terms of what information grabs their attention. One of the best investments you can make for your career is a highly competitive resume reviewed by a professional resume writer.
If you are unhappy with your current position, the first thing you want to do is to stop applying for jobs. Then step two is to consult with a professional career coaching company to get clarity about what you want in a new job. The third step would be to perform market research and network with companies that fit your criteria. Some of the best paying jobs are not even advertised to the public, so clients of YES Career Coaching and Resume Writing Services use our unique techniques to get in front of hiring managers before they have even posted the position.
If you are receiving interviews, that means the employers find you technically qualified for the position, but they aren't sure you fit into the company culture. Employers use three dimensions (head, heart, and briefcase) to determine if you are a good fit for their company. Briefcase is your resume, the head is your behavioral assessment and the heart, which is the most complicated one, consists of your beliefs, attitude and culture fit. Even if you are answering technical interview questions correctly, the interviewers are not falling in love with you. To overcome that challenge, you need to master specific interview skills that build strong rapport and forms strong chemistry with the interviewers. We recommend you schedule your free consultation at YES Career Coaching & Resume Writing Services to learn more about our proprietary interview technique that ensures you will not leave the interview until you have discovered all the interviewer's objections. We are well-versed in New York City resume writing services and have created the best professional resume writing service available.
The best way to find out if a professional resume writing service can help you is to have a free consultation with the company. Most top resume writing companies also have comprehensive reviews by their clients, and you want to review those reviews thoroughly. Hiring managers are looking for resumes that reflect your accomplishments and what you can do for them, but not necessarily how great your graphics appear on paper.
As stated above, start with a free consultation, and then understand the process the professional resume writing service companies are using to develop your resume. Do they offer any guarantees? What's the timeline from consultation to landing a job? To learn the details of how to hire the best New York City resume writing services study this article which describes the criteria to use during your research.
